Port wine is a Portuguese fortified wine produced in the Douro Valley of northern Portugal. It is typically a sweet red wine, often served with or as dessert. Because Portugal has international trademark rights to the Port name- the grapes must be grown and fermented in Portugal for the Port name to be used. As a result we call our version Dessert Wine.
